Dr. Rachel T. Santiago completed her PhD in School Psychology at the University of Oregon and her postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Santiago is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational, School & Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri and a faculty affiliate at the Missouri Prevention Science Institute. Dr. Santiago’s research focuses on social–emotional and mental health outcomes for youth, with an emphasis on culturally responsive practices, implementation science, family–school–community partnerships, and community-engaged scholarship. She is PI on two grants exploring trauma-informed school practices—an Early Career Research Award funded by the Society for the Study of School Psychology, and a Research Council Grant funded by the University of Missouri. Dr. Santiago worked as a school psychologist prior to entering academia and is a licensed school psychologist (MO) and Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
