Dr. Marina McGreevy earned her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Although her professional background is in speech-language pathology, her current research primarily focuses on promoting the social-emotional and behavioral well-being of young children with and without disabilities. In particular, she studies ways to train teachers in implementing positive behavior support strategies across diverse early childhood settings. Her work employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. McGreevy contributed to experimental projects in Dr. Rachel Thibodeau-Nielsen’s Play Lab. She is an active member of the Boone County Early Childhood Coalition and is currently collaborating with Dr. Melissa Stormont on the federally funded Kindergarten Check-Up (KCU) project
